What is the format?
London Networking Live is pure
networking. After a brief introduction from our event manager
the networking begins. London Networking Live events are all
standing to enable effective networking.
Once the event starts people will approach you or vice-versa. We
advise you bring a ready supply of business cards or leaflets
and have a pre-prepared description of your business to keep the
networking flowing smoothly.
Every 15 minutes or so our hosts
will remind participants to move on to the next person to keep
the networking momentum.
Because the format is very relaxed
there are not formal breaks and you can stop at any point if you
require refreshments etc.

How long will the event last?
Approximately 2.5 hours.

Why don't you offer industry specific events?
Because the emphasis is on sharing
your wider contact base it doesn't matter that everyone doesn't
work in the same industry. In many cases it works out far more
effective this way because the scope is far wider.
In many cases our clients find
they receive calls from friends of other attendees - 3rd party
referrals are very common as a result of networking!

How should I prepare for a networking event?
We recommend that all attendees
prepare a short pitch about yourself, your company and what you
are looking to get out of the event. Our friends across the
Atlantic typically refer to this as an "elevator pitch".
Essentially a concise, carefully planned, description about your
business and your goals in simple terms that can be delivered in
the time it would take a ride in a lift.

What's included in the ticket price?
To keep the ticket cost to a
minimum we don't tend to include refreshments in the ticket
price. These will however be available for purchase at all
venues.

How will I ensure I meet all the participants?
We make regular announcements to
remind people to move around the room and meet as many people as
possible. Those that get the most from networking events tend to
be those that meet the most people. Ultimately however the
number of people you choose to meet is your decision.

Who should attend?
Typically our events are suited to
business owners and entrepreneurs however sales staff and those
researching an idea or start-up have found great value in
attending.
We'd recommend our events to
anyone looking to increase their network of business contacts.
You may feel you already have
enough clients but the benefits or networking are not always
financial. These are very sociable events too!

How do I get the most from an event?
In order to make the most from an
event it is important to remember that networks and referrals
can only grow if all participants are mindful of the new
contacts they have made during the event and remember to pass on
their details to others after the event.
If you are passing on referrals to
your new contacts, they will do the same for you and before long
the real benefits of attending a speed networking event become
apparent!
Even if you can't
help every person you meet directly its always worth holding on
to their details just in case you can help them in the future.

Where will the events take place?
We use a variety of privately
hired venues and most of these are located in central London. We
use private bars, hotels and meeting facilities. Rest assured
that all of our venues are high quality.
